POSITION SUMMARY Sr. Project Manager

The Sr. Project Manager will support the Client Program by undertaking the project management duties to successful delivering on time, on budget and within scope to meet the expectations of the stakeholders. assigned projects throughout the project’s life cycle including initiation, planning, execution, closure.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Experience in managing programs and/or large complex projects with the assigned programs/project and objectives: 10+ yrs.

2. Bachelor's degree - Computer Science, Information Systems, Business/Public Administration, or another related technical/IT program. Master’s Degree highly preferred. Leadership and project management training are beneficial. PMP certification or equivalent preferred but not required.

3. Strong communication skills both orally and in writing in English.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in customer settings and with internal senior management. Solid active listening, facilitation and presentation skills.

5. Knowledge of Project Management (tools, tactics, and methodologies), operating policies, procedures and practices.

6. Experience with large scale technology implementation, custom development and data and systems integrations.

7. Solid Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) / Agile methodologies and best practices.

8. Ability to lead and motivate professionals to produce high quality results on time and within budget.

9. A team player, adept at working across departments to ensure user adoption and satisfaction.

10. Experience with MS Visio, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and SharePoint.

11. Interact professionally with various levels of employees and outside representatives.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Proposed firm’s personnel must possess demonstrable knowledge in the following areas:
a. Windows and Linux operating systems and associated security concepts.
b. Expertise across a variety of security products including, but not limited to, firewalls, network and host-based intrusion detection (IDS) and intrusion prevention systems (IPS), security incident and event management software (SIEM), URL filtering, SPAM filtering, anti-filtering, anti-malware software, anti-virus software, and file encryption.
c. Industry frameworks related to information security, such as ISO 27000, NIST 800-53, ITIL Foundation, NIST Cybersecurity, etc.

d. National Institute of Science and Technology's (NIST) Special Publication 800-53 and 800-171.
e. In-depth knowledge of information security risks and counter-measures for Windows and Linux platforms.
f. Project management techniques and coordination.
g. Security hardware and software applications related to information system security.
SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS

a. Years of Experience: 10
b. Proficiency on use of computers and related software applications.
c. Security analysis and capacity planning.
d. Ability to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, recommend best options and implement recommendations in support of goals.
e. Strong communication skills required to discuss and present complex security solutions.
f. Initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
g. Prioritization of work processes and projects.
h. Strong time management and organizational skills.
i. Ability to translate complex IT security matters to individuals without an IT background.
j. Ability to advise the organization with cost-effective security solutions.
k. Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with the very latest updates and security threats and solutions.
l. Ability to analyze and document business processes.
m. Ability to interpret and apply local, state, and federal policies, procedures, laws and regulations with regards to information security.
n. Strong written and verbal skills to interact with co-workers, supervisor and the public at a level sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
