We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organized Office Engineer II to support our project management and field engineering teams in delivering high-quality construction projects. The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant experience, including a strong background in engineering administration, construction documentation, and compliance tracking.

This position plays a critical role in managing project records, technical communication, and coordination between the office and field. The ideal candidate will bring a solutions-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and a working knowledge of B2GNow compliance software.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage detailed construction files, logs, RFIs, submittals, and all related project documentation in accordance with internal and client standards.

  • Oversee and review daily field inspector reports for completeness and accuracy.

  • Monitor and track project issues, non-conformance items, and field conditions to ensure timely resolution.

  • Lead the processing and coordination of Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, clarifications, and technical inquiries.

  • Ensure that all work complies with applicable engineering standards, specifications, codes, and contract documents.

  • Provide timely and accurate technical and administrative information to project stakeholders.

  • Support scheduling coordination, third-party inspections, and meeting documentation (agendas, minutes, reports).

  • Utilize B2GNow for subcontractor compliance tracking, documentation management, and reporting requirements.

  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, design teams, and public agency representatives.

  • Mentor junior office engineers and help ensure consistency and quality across project records.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

  • Licensed Engineer (preferably by the California Board for Professional Engineers) highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering or construction administration roles, ideally within infrastructure or public sector projects.

  • In-depth understanding of project lifecycle management, technical documentation, and regulatory compliance.

  • Proven experience working with B2GNow software and other project management tools (e.g., Procore, e-Builder, Primavera, Bluebeam).

  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—and ability to work in a multi-stakeholder environment.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with high attention to detail.
